Start the Podcast! A Low-Cost, Efficient, Portable, and Personalized Way to Deliver Training

Course Info

Podcasting is an accepted and effective way to provide and consume self-paced, personalized training and development content, largely because its efficient and portable content fits easily into our busy lives. Through concrete approaches for bringing the elements of great audio and video podcasts together, you will learn strategies to design, develop, and publish your own podcast on any budget (even zero). This hands-on workshop addresses important nuances in the process, including interview techniques, podcast branding, effective marketing strategies, and how to produce an internal podcast for your organization. Please bring your own Wi-Fi enabled laptop or mobile device, with headphones to use with either device.

Betty Dannewitz is an Immersive Experience Architect with over 19 years in corporate learning and development. She is also a Speaker, Podcaster, and High-Performance Coach. Betty’s passion is to help people become better humans and she advocates that innovative technology, like XR and podcasting, have a HUGE role in making that happen.

Jeff Weaver is the Director of Training & OD at J.J. Taylor Companies, Inc. and the “Chancellor” of Brew University™. For more than 25 years, he’s been in training and development for companies ranging from small family businesses to Fortune 50 giants. He’s developed over 1000 hours of original training covering all manner of leadership topics. He’s been a public speaker for more than 30 years and competed nationally during his college career; having won more than 150 awards in competitive speech and debate; including National Champion in Impromptu Speaking. Jeff presents at L&D conferences on topics including podcasting, simulation design, and new hire onboarding. Jeff is a native Floridian, cigar aficionado, and lover of jazz music.
