Preconference Certificate Program

Mobile Learning Certificate
February 3-4, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Practice responsive design for multiple screens.
Mobile learning training focuses on the proper design and development of content for interaction across multiple screens. Success lies in adapting your skills and building a foundational knowledge of responsive design.

This hands-on, m-learning workshop explores the methodologies, technology, platforms, and devices required to design and develop effective learning solutions for multiscreen delivery. You’ll leave with the skills and resources needed to ensure learning solutions you develop will be accessible to your learners anywhere to support their performance in the moment.

Why You Should Attend

  • Examine current mobile technologies to understand how they are changing learning, and identify how you can reshape your organization’s learning strategy to include a multiscreen environment.
  • Build a prototype as a group using rapid prototyping tools and techniques.
  • Provide a detailed action plan for implementing a successful mobile learning project.

Technical Requirements: Participants will need to bring a laptop (PC or Mac) and a mobile device (Android phone, iPhone, or any tablet) to the workshop. It is critical to have the most up-to-date browser on your laptop. Google Chrome, Firefox, or Internet Explorer 9 are all recommended.

“In my preconference Certificate I made connections with people I could go out to dinner with to discuss our hopes and plans for the conference, as well as the challenges we faced in our roles back at home. I was able to pick these same faces out of the crowd during sessions and keynotes, making the conference feel friendlier and granting me the confidence to engage with other attendees whom I did not know.”
