ATD Master E-Learning Instructional Design Program
Preconference Certificate Program

ATD Master E-Learning Instructional Design
February 1-4 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day

Prove your design capacity. Elevate the impact of your e-learning solutions. Create performance-changing learning.
Learn to design courses that motivate, inform, change behavior, and elevate performance. Earning the ATD Master E-Learning Instructional Design designation prepares you to design and align learning to meet business objectives and makes you a valued partner to stakeholders.

Theory is important, but so is learning e-learning instructional design principles you can directly apply to workplace situations. This three-part mastery program provides both. Engage online as you prepare for the face-to-face course. Collaborate with fellow participants to work through a case study and then plan, design, and learn to build an actual e-learning course. Demonstrate your proficiency by creating a final project for evaluation, and select an elective course that complements what you’ve learned.

Why You Should Attend
In this program you will:

  • Critique e-learning modules using an ATD-exclusive rubric.
  • Learn to connect with stakeholders and elevate your position as an e-learning leader.
  • Develop an e-learning solution to a current skill or behavioral challenge in your organization.

Who Should Attend
Experienced e-learning developers who want to strengthen their design capability and master new approaches to e-learning course development.

Experienced instructional designers ready to validate their skills and improve their ability to lead successful e-learning projects.

To ensure you gain the most from this advanced-level program, we strongly recommend:

  1. demonstrated e-learning experience with at least three years of instructional design
  2. solid understanding of instructional design principles and models (ADDIE, SAM, and so on)
  3. demonstrated experience conducting needs assessments and writing effective learning objectives
  4. completion of a foundational ATD certificate program, such as the E-Learning Instructional Design Certificate (preferred, not required).

“In addition to making the large conference feel smaller, I also gained some great tools and insight to take back to my team. It is almost a year later now, and I still break out my session workbook from time to time to reference project document templates or to consult the list of free resources and tools we compiled together.
