09 Feb 2022
Instructional Designer , Developer

If you are creating a course on communication skills, would a deaf or hard-of-hearing person use the same techniques you are teaching? Do you only show images of nondisabled people? Can someone who can’t use a mouse navigate your course? Join this session to learn how the decisions you make about content, media, and technology can help your e-learning content be more inclusive.

Application on the Job:

  • Identify physical and sense-based content and evaluate options for presenting it in an inclusive way.
  • Incorporate individuals with disabilities into your media selections.
  • Evaluate technology and authoring tool choices based on accessibility to individuals using assistive technology.
