Feb 07, 2023
Technology Strategy for Leaders
When designing for augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR), user acceptance and usability of the hardware and software are both critically important to learning effectiveness. Many physiological and emotional factors influence the learner’s experience, and while they are distinct from the cognitive processes associated with learning, they are just as important. However, many instructional designers don’t know how to evaluate these factors. In this session, learn about usability and its importance to learning experience design. Explore a real-world case study evaluating a VR training platform. You’ll take away a basic understanding of how to identify a usability problem, how usability is evaluated, issues specific to AR and VR, and how to avoid common pitfalls.
